Why I Take Pictures……
This song basically tells why I take pictures.
People always ask why I like taking pictures…. A couple of reasons. One is because I don’t trust my memory. It’s not as consistent as I would like it to be, so pictures are a great way to fill in the blanks.
The other reason is because of the way pictures can bring back the feeling you had in the moment that they were taken. I like to take tons of pictures that many people will probably never see. Every now and then I like to look at them and remember those times because it’ll never be a time like that again. Things change… sometimes good and sometimes bad but it’s great when you can briefly go back to those moments that stand out in your life (sometimes with different, more mature eyes) and get that feeling again whenever you want to. For me, the way a picture can take you there is much more satisfying than just thinking about it in my head. And if I can do the same thing for others, then I’m happy to do it for them as well.
I love looking at pictures too… The way you can connect and share moments with others through pictures is so much better than just hearing or talking about it. It’s something about about the visual stimulation you get from them that helps make up for missing out on the moment in person.

I recently did a shoot with my homie’s Nissan Z after a fresh paint job. The violet pearl is a great color on the Z and you have see it in person in order to really appreciate it. But since most of you probably won’t, check out my photos instead lol.

One of my favorites from a recent family portrait photo shoot
I just got done watching Kanye West’s Runaway and I gotta say it’s awesome. It’s the Moonwalker of this decade…
I think Kanye does an excellent job telling the story of a phoenix’s (played by Selita Ebanks) experience as she tries to fit in this world after falling from the sky.
The visual imagery is creative. My favorite parts were when the phoenix was dancing as Kanye made the beat
and the ballerinas.
I also liked the way he illustrated how he felt at times when he thought the world could have been a little more understanding. Times like when he tries to share something he thinks the rest of the world might enjoy and instead it gets rejected…
or times like when he reacts (sometimes reacting in a way that might be inappropriate at the time) to something that is obviously wrong or offensive to some but the rest of the world continues to act like it’s alright…
I really enjoyed the film and I think that Kanye did a great job for it being the first film that he directed. I also thought the overall message of the film, that a phoenix will turn to stone if its wings are plucked and it isn’t allowed to burn, was uniquely illustrated.
I’m glad he didn’t restrict his creativity. I hope to see more films from him in the future.

this video is confusing, crazy and so random…that’s why this video is so awesome even though i cant understand spanish! it’s a bunch of scenes that make you go wtf??
the only thing is that for a video taking you on a journey thru our universe, i would have liked to see more diverse people haha, like maybe a few black people lol.
